The dining rooms

Our two dining rooms Utsikten (The View) and Skogstuen (The Forest Room) were designed by prize-wining architect Arne Henriksen and opened along with the new millennium. Floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows offer magnificent views over Nordmarka, towards Sørkedalen and Norefjell in the distance. The walls are adorned with Nordic art, including the large "Lysebubildet" which artist Per Kirkeby painted especially for its location.

Our Kavaler wing features the Kavaler Salon and Peisestue (the fireplace room), which were designed and decorated by Lysebu's main architect Magnus Poulsson and originally were part of the guest house when Lysebu was a private residence. The Kavaler Salon is monumental in style with its high, richly decorated ceiling, chandeliers and tapestries by Kristin Lindberg. The tapestries were woven especially for the Salon, and were unveiled by Queen Margrethe of Denmark.
